Diamond Industry Experience

Chantal Peters has been immersed in the diamond industry since birth, continuing a proud family tradition that spans three generations. Growing up, she witnessed firsthand the intricacies and nuances of the diamond trade, with her grandfather's diamond mining operation on the Amazon River in Guyana serving as the backdrop to her formative years. As the family relocated to the United States, the business evolved, but the legacy remained strong, with her father, Nizam Peters, establishing the American Institute of Diamond Cutting (AIDC) in Florida, the only diamond cutting school in the U.S. licensed to teach diamond cutting and rough diamond grading.

Chantal's journey in the diamond industry began at a young age, fueled by her curiosity and passion for the field. By the age of 14, she had already completed the Rough Diamond Grading Program at AIDC, earning a certificate that acknowledged her expertise in assessing uncut diamonds. This early certification laid the foundation for her future contributions to the industry.

A significant aspect of Chantal's impact on the diamond industry has been the creation of the Online Rough Diamond Course, a groundbreaking program that brings the prestigious in-school curriculum developed by her father to the digital realm. As the Creator and Co-educator of the course, Chantal dedicated countless hours to studying rough diamonds and transforming traditional educational methods into an accessible online format. This innovative approach has made diamond grading and cutting knowledge available to a broader audience, addressing the growing demand for online learning and accommodating the needs of those unable to attend in-person classes.

She believes that staying informed is not only essential for her personal growth but also crucial for ensuring that the Rough Diamond Course remains relevant and up-to-date. Her commitment to ongoing learning and adaptability has positioned her as a key contributor to the evolution of diamond education.

Through her efforts, Chantal has not only preserved her family's legacy but also significantly impacted the diamond industry by expanding access to specialized knowledge. Her dedication to education and her unique approach to online learning continue to inspire and shape the next generation of diamond experts.
